Day 1: Faithful and Forgotten? Think Again.
Devotional: Have you ever done the right thing and still ended up in a hard place? You followed God, you were obedient, and somehow life still fell apart around you. That can feel deeply confusing, even discouraging. Paul and Silas found themselves beaten and imprisoned not because they sinned, but because they obeyed. They cast out a demon, and it cost them everything, at least for a moment. Their story reminds us that obedience does not always come with a reward we can see right away. This is one of the most important truths a believer can hold onto. Hardship is not always a sign that you are out of God's will. Sometimes it is the clearest sign that you are right in the middle of it. God is not absent in your difficulty. He is present, working, and fully aware of where you are. If you are in a hard season today, take heart. You are not forgotten. You are not being punished. You may simply be walking the same road that faithful men and women have walked for centuries. And God has never once abandoned one of His own.

Day 2: The Snake You Need to Recognize
Devotional: Not every attack comes loud and fast. Some of the most dangerous ones start quietly, with a whispered lie, a critical word from someone you trusted, or a slow drift into isolation. Before you know it, the joy is gone, the praise has dried up, and you feel spiritually numb. This is exactly how the enemy works. He does not always come in swinging. He bites first, through bitterness, gossip, and negativity. Then he wraps around you, little by little, until breathing feels hard and praising God feels impossible. But here is the good news. You serve a God who is greater than any force that comes against you. The enemy's strategy only works if you do not recognize it. Once you see it for what it is, you can resist it. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. If you have been feeling squeezed lately, spiritually dry or emotionally worn down, pay attention. Ask God to show you where the enemy has gained a foothold. Then refuse to stay silent. Your praise is a weapon, and it is time to use it.

If you ever want to know where the enemy is going to start, it's going to start with the head. It starts with somebody's mouth running, somebody spreading things that aren't true, telling lies about you, backbiting bitterness."
Prayer: Father, open my eyes to the enemy's tactics and remind me that Your power in me is greater than anything coming against me. Help me to stand firm and keep praising You. Amen.

That is when Paul and Silas began to sing. They were not praising because the pain had stopped. They were not singing because things had turned around. They praised because God was still God. His holiness had not changed. His faithfulness had not wavered. His worthiness was not tied to their circumstances. That kind of praise is rare, and it is powerful. It says to God and to the enemy, my worship is not based on my comfort. It is based on who You are. Whatever midnight you are walking through right now, whether it is grief, fear, a broken relationship, or a long stretch of silence from heaven, God is still worthy. You do not have to wait for the breakthrough to start praising. Praise Him now, in the dark, before the door opens. That is the kind of faith that shakes foundations.

Every prisoner in that place was set free. That is a staggering detail. Their praise did not just affect them. It created freedom for everyone around them. You may not realize it, but your praise carries that same kind of weight. When you choose to worship God in the middle of your hardship, you are not just helping yourself. The person sitting next to you in church, the coworker who watches how you handle difficulty, the family member who sees you still trusting God through heartbreak, they are all watching. And your praise might be exactly what God uses to break something loose in their life. Do not hold it back. Do not keep it quiet because you are worried about what someone might think. Let it out. You never know who is waiting to be set free by what God does through your worship.

Prayer: Lord, let my praise go beyond myself and touch the lives of those around me. Use my worship to bring freedom to someone who desperately needs it today. Amen.

And more than anything, he does not want you praising God. But here is what he cannot take from you unless you let him. Your voice. Your faith. Your choice to worship. Paul and Silas made a decision in that prison. They stopped listening to the voice that said God had forgotten them, and they started singing to the God who never leaves. That decision changed everything, not just for them, but for an entire prison full of people. You have that same choice today. The serpent will whisper that it is too late, that you are too far gone, that God is not listening. Do not believe it. We serve a God who does great things in dark places, and no chain, no wall, and no lie from the enemy can keep His power out. Shake it off. Open your mouth. And praise the Lord who is still, and always will be, worthy.
