Day 1: Are You Ready for Your Life to Change?
Devotional: There is a moment in John chapter 5 that stops you in your tracks. A man has been lying beside a pool for 38 years, and Jesus walks up and asks Him a question that sounds almost too simple: do you want to be made whole? But Jesus never wastes words. He was not asking about the man's legs. He was asking something far deeper. Are you ready for everything that comes with being healed? Because healing brings responsibility. It means leaving behind what has become familiar, even when familiar is painful. That is a harder question than it sounds. Some of us have lived in anxiety, bitterness, or defeat for so long that it has become our normal. And when God offers something different, we hesitate. We want deliverance, but we are not always sure we want everything that goes with it. Today, Jesus is asking you the same question He asked that man. Not to shame you. Not to pressure you. But because He sees you, He knows you, and He is ready to move in your life the moment you are willing to say yes. The good news is that you do not have to have it all figured out. You just have to be honest with Him. He can handle your uncertainty. What He is looking for is a willing heart.

Day 2: Your Condition Is Not Your Identity
Devotional: The man at the pool of Bethesda is never given a name in Scripture. We only know his condition. Thirty-eight years of struggle. Thirty-eight years of being defined by what he could not do. But God knew Him. And God knows you. Your past does not get the final word on who you are. Your failure does not define you. Your sickness does not define you. What happened to you does not define you. If you are in Christ, you are a new creature. The old things have passed away. That is not just a comforting thought. It is a declaration of truth that cuts through every label the world, or the enemy, or even you yourself, has placed on your life. Sometimes we carry our history like a name tag, wearing it everywhere we go. But God never intended for your worst moment to become your permanent identity. He sees you as His child, redeemed and made whole through the blood of Jesus Christ. You are not what happened to you. You are who He says you are. And He says you are loved, chosen, and worth every step He took to reach you. Let that truth settle in your heart today. Your condition is not your identity. Your identity is found in Him.

Day 3: Don't Confuse Delay with Denial
Devotional: Thirty-eight years is a long time to wait. If you had been lying beside that pool, watching others get healed while you stayed right where you were, it would be easy to conclude that God had forgotten you. That your moment was never coming. But the calendar does not limit Christ. When Jesus raised Lazarus, the man had already been in the tomb for four days. By every human measure, it was too late. But Jesus called Him out anyway. What looked like the end was simply the setup for something only God could do. Maybe you have been praying about something for a long time. Maybe you have watched others receive what you have been believing God for, and the waiting has started to feel like a no. It is not. Delay is not denial. God's timing is not a sign of His indifference. It is often a sign of His precision. He is not slow. He is purposeful. And when He moves, He moves completely. Do not give up on what God has promised you. Do not let the length of the wait convince you that the answer is not coming. Thirty-eight years of history was no match for one word from Jesus Christ. Your situation is no match for Him either. Hold on. He has not forgotten you.

Day 4: The Living Water Was Watching You
Devotional: The man at the pool had no one to help him. For nearly four decades, he watched others get into the water while he stayed on the outside. Overlooked. Passed by. Alone. But here is what he did not know: while he was watching the water, the living water was watching him. Jesus saw him before He ever spoke to Him. He knew his story, his struggle, and exactly how long he had been there. And when the man could not get to the water, the water came to him. That is the gospel in one moment. You do not need the perfect circumstances to fall into place. You do not need the right person to show up at the right time. You need Jesus. And the remarkable thing is that He has already been moving toward you. When you could not find your way to Him, He found His way to you. That is not coincidence. That is grace. If you feel overlooked today, if you feel like everyone else is moving forward while you are stuck, take heart. Jesus is not waiting for you to figure it out on your own. He is already walking in your direction. You are not invisible to Him. You never were. He sees you. He has always seen you.

Devotional: The pool of Bethesda means house of mercy. And that name is not an accident. When Jesus showed up at that pool, He brought exactly what the name promised. Mercy for a man who had been waiting, struggling, and overlooked for 38 years. But notice what happened next. Jesus did not just heal the man and leave Him lying there. He said, take up your bed and walk. Mercy walked in, and grace walked out. The man arrived at that pool as someone defined by his condition. He left carrying the very thing that had held him down. That is what Jesus does. He does not just remove the burden. He transforms you in the process of removing it. And here is the encouragement for you today: what He has done before, He will do again. The same Jesus who healed that man is the same Jesus who is present with you right now. He has not changed. His mercy has not run out. His grace is still sufficient. You may be in your own house of mercy right now, waiting and wondering. But the God who showed up at Bethesda is the God who shows up for you. Choose Him today. Seek Him first. And trust that the One who walked in with mercy will walk you out with grace. He will do it again.
