After Christmas
5 Day Devotional
Day 1: Keeping the Spirit of Christmas Alive
Christmas is a time of joy and celebration, but what happens when the festivities end? Many of us experience a post-Christmas emptiness, which can be attributed to the high expectations and preparations that go into the holiday. However, the essence of Christmas doesn't have to fade away. By sharing God's grace every day, we can keep the spirit of Christmas alive in our daily lives. Remember, 'We ought to share the grace of God with someone else every day that we live.' This simple act of kindness can make a lasting impact on those around us and help us maintain the joy and love that Christmas brings.
Bible Verse: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16
Reflection Question: How can you share God's grace with someone today to keep the spirit of Christmas alive?
Quote: We ought to share the grace of God with someone else every day that we live.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to carry the spirit of Christmas in my heart every day. Guide me to share Your grace and love with those around me, so that they too may experience the joy and peace that comes from knowing You. Amen.

Day 2: Seeking Jesus Continuously
After Christmas, it's important to continue seeking Jesus in our daily lives. The wise men traveled far and wide to find Him, and their journey teaches us about dedication and faith. 'Everybody that comes to Jesus leaves in a different direction. You don't leave the same way that you come to him.' When we seek Jesus, we are transformed and renewed. Let us make it a priority to seek Him continuously, not just during the holiday season, but every day of our lives.
Bible Verse: After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem. - Matthew 2:1
Reflection Question: In what ways can you seek Jesus more intentionally in your daily life?
Quote: Everybody that comes to Jesus leaves in a different direction. You don't leave the same way that you come to him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me the strength and dedication to seek You every day. Transform my heart and mind as I draw closer to You, and help me to live a life that reflects Your love and grace. Amen.

Day 3: Offering Our Best to Him
The wise men brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus, each symbolizing a different aspect of His identity. Gold represents kingship, frankincense symbolizes priesthood, and myrrh signifies His role as a savior. These gifts remind us to offer our best to Jesus. 'Have you given your heart? Have you given your soul? Have you given your life to Christ?' Let us reflect on what we can offer to Him, not just material gifts, but our hearts, our time, and our devotion.
Bible Verse: On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. - Matthew 2:11
Reflection Question: What can you offer to Jesus today as a symbol of your love and devotion?
Quote: Have you given your heart? Have you given your soul? Have you given your life to Christ?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I offer You my heart, my soul, and my life. Help me to give my best to You in all that I do. May my actions and words be a reflection of my love and devotion to You. Amen.

Day 4: Treating Others with Grace
We never know what someone else is going through. 'You never know when somebody walks through these doors, what they're going through, what they've experienced yesterday, sometimes even today.' It's important to treat others with grace and kindness, just as Jesus would. By doing so, we can be a source of comfort and hope to those who are struggling. Let us strive to be a reflection of Jesus' love in our interactions with others.
Bible Verse: A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. - John 14:34
Reflection Question: How can you show grace and kindness to someone who may be struggling today?
Quote: You never know when somebody walks through these doors, what they're going through, what they've experienced yesterday, sometimes even today.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me to see others through Your eyes. Give me the compassion and grace to treat everyone with kindness and love, so that they may see You in me. Amen.

Day 5: Living a Life of Faith
Faith is not just about believing; it's about being moved to action. 'Have you believed enough to move you to attend church? Have you believed enough that you've been moved to go to an altar?' Our faith should inspire us to live differently, to take steps that reflect our trust in God. When was the last time your faith moved you to action? Let us strive to live a life of faith that is evident in our actions and decisions.
Bible Verse: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16
Reflection Question: What steps can you take today to live out your faith more actively?
