Drive To Thrive In 25
5 Day Devotional
Day 1: First Love - Rekindling Your Passion for God
Remember when you first fell in love with God? That pure, unbridled enthusiasm where everything felt new and exciting? Just like newlyweds who can't get enough of each other, our relationship with God should maintain that same fervor. However, life's challenges, routines, and disappointments can sometimes dim that initial spark. Today, let's focus on rekindling that first love with God. It's not about manufacturing feelings, but about returning to those fundamental practices that first drew us close to Him - earnest prayer, eager Bible reading, and wholehearted worship. When we intentionally pursue God with the same dedication we had at the start, He faithfully meets us where we are.
Bible Verse: Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. - Revelation 2:4
Reflection Question: What specific practices or habits helped you feel closest to God when you first began your faith journey, and how can you incorporate these back into your daily life?
Quote: When you don't know what to do, you go back and you do the first things that you started doing for the Lord over again, and God will take care of it.
Prayer: Father, rekindle in me the passion I once had for You. Help me return to those first works of love and devotion. Restore the joy of my salvation and help me to pursue You with my whole heart. Amen.

Day 2: Letting Go of the Past
We all carry baggage from our past - hurts, disappointments, failures, and regrets. These burdens can weigh us down and prevent us from moving forward in our faith journey. Like a hiker trying to climb a mountain with an overloaded backpack, we struggle to make progress when we're carrying too much. God invites us to release these burdens to Him. He's not asking us to pretend these experiences never happened, but rather to trust Him with our healing process. When we choose to let go, we create space for God to work something new in our lives.
Bible Verse: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 3:13-14
Reflection Question: What past hurt or disappointment are you still carrying that you need to release to God today?
Quote: If you want to thrive in 25, and you want to be well in your life and you want to receive the blessings of God and walk in the fullness of the Spirit, you have got to be willing to let go of your past.
Prayer: Lord, I give You my past - all the pain, disappointments, and regrets. Help me to trust You with my healing and embrace the new things You want to do in my life. Amen.

Day 3: Love Through the Storms
True love isn't just about the mountain-top moments - it's about staying committed through the valleys. This applies to both our relationships with others and with God. When life gets difficult, our natural tendency might be to pull away or question God's love. However, these challenging seasons often become the foundation for deeper faith and stronger relationships. Just as a tree's roots grow deeper during storms, our faith can strengthen through difficulties when we choose to stay connected to God.
Bible Verse: If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. - John 15:10
Reflection Question: How have difficult seasons in your life ultimately strengthened your relationship with God?
Quote: Love isn't just about the good times. It's not about the times when you're on a vacation. It's not about the times when you're being intimate with the one that you love. It's not about all of those times that it's easy to be in love. No, love is about commitment through the tough moments in life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unchanging love through every season. Help me to remain faithful during difficult times, knowing that You are working all things for my good. Amen.

Day 4: Living as God's Own
There's a profound difference between hoping you belong to God and knowing you belong to Him. When we truly understand that we are His, it transforms how we live. We no longer need to strive for acceptance or worth - we already have it in Him. This identity as God's beloved shapes our choices, relationships, and priorities. We can face life's challenges with confidence, knowing that the One who created the universe claims us as His own.
Bible Verse: Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. - Isaiah 43:1
Reflection Question: How would your daily decisions and interactions change if you lived fully convinced that you belong to God?
Quote: We are his people. We should live lives that reflect the newness that he's doing in us.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for claiming me as Your own. Help me live today with the confidence and peace that comes from knowing I belong to You. Guide my steps as I represent You in this world. Amen.

Day 5: Channels of Grace
God's plan for our lives extends far beyond our personal growth - He wants to use us as channels of His grace to others. Like a river that brings life wherever it flows, we're called to carry God's love and truth into our homes, workplaces, and communities. This happens not just through our words, but through our actions, attitudes, and choices. When we allow God's character to shine through us, we become living testimonies of His transforming power.
Bible Verse: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled. - Hebrews 12:15
Reflection Question: In what specific ways can you be a channel of God's grace in your sphere of influence this week?
Quote: We are the conduits of God's grace and of his love.
Prayer: Lord, make me a channel of Your grace today. Help me to reflect Your character in every interaction and situation. Use me to bring Your light into the dark places around me. Amen.
